Judy Kang Bio
Taiwanese-American cellist, Judy Kang, launched her career with a performance for world-renowned cellist, Yo-Yo Ma, when he visited her hometown of Taipei, Taiwan as a part of his Worldwide Master Tour. Kang’s reputation earned her a full scholarship at the USC Thornton School of Music, where she became the first musician in USC history to earn a double degree in both cello and piano performance.
Kang is now the resident cellist for Celine Dion. She maintains a very active schedule as a performing and recording cellist throughout the U.S. and Asia. Kang’s musical collaborations range from classical, orchestral, chamber music, pop music, as well as TV commercials, video game music and movie session recordings. Kang also records remotely from her home studio, making her cello available to a wide variety of musical clients.
Kang has performed under the baton of John Williams and has shared the stage and recorded with the likes of Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion, Demi Lovato, David Foster, Michael McDonald, Sarah McLachlan, Florence and the Machine, Richard Marx, Eric Bennet, Kenny Loggins, Rachel Platten, Carly Rae Jepsen, Andrea Bocelli and Earth Wind & Fire. Judy has also performed with world-renowned cellists Mischa Maisky, Steven Isserlis, Ralph Kirshbaum, and Lynn Harrell.
Kang often appears on camera as a featured cellist for American Music Awards, Billboard Awards, The Ellen Degeneres Show, Access Hollywood, ABC’s Good Morning America, Latin Grammys Award and Fox Television’s hit shows “GLEE” and “The GLEE Project.”
Kinga Bacik Bio
Ms. Kinga Bacik, is an active solo and chamber musician based in the greater Los Angeles area. She began her artistic career after receiving her Master’s Degree in cello performance and educational studies at the Chopin University of Music in Poland. After years of musical travels she moved to the United States to continue her education where in 2014 she obtained her Graduate Performance Diploma from The Boston Conservatory at Berklee.
As a member of professional orchestras for many years, Kinga has had a privilege to sharpen her talent working with the top conductors and performers throughout the U.S and Europe. She has appeared with Sinfonia Iuventus Orchestra established for the most outstanding young Polish musicians, the Radio Symphony Orchestra, Boston Opera Collaborative, Cambridge Philharmonic, East Coast Scoring. Kinga performed in the most prestigious of surroundings like The Wienner Musikverein or Berliner Philharmoniker Hall.
Having a great fortune to participate in diverse projects allowed her to become a multifaceted performer and session cellist for big companies and private recordings. As a session musician with a long list of recordings for film, television, and video games, Kinga features detailed perfection in the studio. She works eclectic musical styles including jazz, pop, classical. Most recently, Kinga recorded and performed with the Foo-Fighters, Sting, 6lack, Amine, The Rodgarband. She performed with classical music icons like Yo-Yo Ma, Maxim Vengerov, worked with Gautier Capucon, Krzysztof Penderecki and many more.
For years Kinga played in The Comedy Theater in Warsaw working as actress and cellist. In 2011, the Play called “The Pocket Orchestra” that she took part in won the first prize in the International Korczak competition. Working on the stage of the old traditional theater was one of her most exciting professional experiences. She was continuing her acting adventures in Boston working with Dossy Peabody and David Hudacek. ‘The Damaged’ that she appeared on was nominated for best comedy screenplay in the Miami Web Fest 2016.
